Features:
6 runs of live storage racking with 24 bays in each have been arranged into 3 order picking zones. Length 41 300 mm, height 9 000 mm, depth 1 650 mm. Each bay is 1 640 mm wide and is composed of 24 straight levels with a maximum load capacity of 500 kg per level.
Order picking is done with order picking trucks, restocking with man-operated stacker cranes. Function:
This order picking area provides sufficient capacity for 7 000 B-items. There are at least 2 lanes available per item. 1 of the 2 lanes is for complete bin loads and the other for individual items.
Up to 8 orders can be picked concurrently.
Benefits:
The new warehouse concept has tripled picking productivity and, at the same time, reduced order throughput times. Utilisation of available storage space has been considerably improved.
