Features:
This installation with a total length of some 260 m consists of 10 live storage blocks of varying lengths. The goods are provided either on pallets stored in pallet live storage lanes or in cartons stored in carton live storage lanes.
The pallet push back lanes on top serve as a buffer stock to ensure continuous replenishment. The subdivision of the bays varies according to requirement, f. ex. the carton live storage levels are equipped with 4 or more lanes or roller beds.
Function:
The installation is used for order picking. With the help of lift trucks orders are picked either directly off the pallets or from the carton live storage lanes. The storage location of the individual items - determined in accordance with the order structure - guarantees very short travel routes.
Benefits:
Picking performance has been increased by some 150 %. The modular and easy-to-rebuild system allows to adapt fast and efficiently and with minimal reconfiguration work to the needs of new customers and changing order structures.
