Features:
Four three-tier blocks of live storage each composed of 2 pallet live storage installations connected by 2 platforms. Length 27500 mm, height 6700 mm, total depth 7400 mm. The lanes are 2400 mm deep. A quarter of the bays have either 3 or 4 carton live storage levels. The four blocks of live storage are linked by a platform giving access to an adjoining two-tier carton live storage installation.
Storage units:
Euro-pallets sized 800 x 1200 mm with a maximum loading height of
1800 mm. Maximum load capacity 500 kg.
Pallets are handled short-side facing.
Cartons of different sizes and a maximum load of 7 kg each.
Loading is with reach trucks, whereas order picking is assisted by hand pallet trucks and lifts.
Storage capacity:
358 pallet live storage lanes for 716 pallets,
2800 carton live storage lanes.
Function:
This central warehouse supplies its regional depots and retailers with some 700 pallet loads a day. The order picking area is re-stocked from a high-bay racking installation from which complete pallet loads are also picked for despatch. A-items are stocked in pallet live storage racking, B- and C-items in carton live storage racking. Picking is order-based.
Benefits:
All items are accessible without using vehicles.
This increases productivity and provides a safer working environment. The multi-tier construction allows an optimum use of storage space. Continuous supply of goods is assured, as the lanes provide one reserve pallet behind every picking pallet.
